my niece asked me to sign her yearbook in cursive.

working on vacation.
I put this back up on threadless for voting. if you’d like it as a shirt/print/case/whatever, please vote and let them know! this is a remake of a friend’s, so I don’t have any plans to release it anywhere else. maybe in the distant future when I’m more responsible and learn how money works. don’t count on that happening, though!
things to consider. also, gotta work on eyes.
It's just such a good feeling seeing other people wear your shit. I've only designed one printed tee, many years ago for a band. And every time i'd go to shows, i'd sort of snicker at the sight of teens moshing around in my shirts. There are such huge gaps in the market and a lot of lame merch. We should just make things that make up happy and people will find it and be happy also. :3
yeah! I have a shirt out and it’s fun hearing the reactions my friends get from people when they wear it around. it makes me feel really cool n_n
I know my stuff isn’t for everybody, but that just makes it extra special for the people who do like it. and just having it exist and out there is such a good feeling!
right now I’m using some sites to make things for me, but I’m trying to learn more about setting up my own shop and putting out things myself. I feel like I’d be a lot happier doing my own thing, at least for some merch.
@sldclothing motivated me to draw more without the computer so I’m hitting it off with his favorite subject matter.
Today is Paulina’s birthday. Lemme tell you about Paulina.
Paulina (wawaachao) is one of my favorite people I met here. She’s funny, though not at all times intentionally. She shuffles between Chinese and English so sometimes it sounds like she speaks in typos. I’m used to speaking intentionally broken English with Alvin and Omair, but even still, it took a while to fully understand things. This isn’t a knock on her at all! It’s super charming and you’re bound to hear a nugget here and there (last week she was looking to buy drinks for this party and she said she almost bought “smurf-off”). Talking gets boring anyway, and it’s fun to spice things up. She’s always up for exploring and is one of the most supportive people you’ll ever meet. She was also the best graphic designer in our class and now she’s gonna head off into graduate school and do really great things.
She heard my music a long while back and wanted me to make more, so I made her a song. it’s about her and puppies. I used a harmonica she gifted me. Happy Birthday!
first colors. might change. I keep forgetting how nice it is to draw in Manga Studio.
It’s my friend Amanda’s birthday today. Let me tell you a little bit about her.
She’s funny and fun to talk to. She runs. A lot. What’s up with that? She is a very kind person, even though I mostly get sass and arguments from her. She has very dorky, almost awkward dance moves, which she thinks I criticize because I laugh whenever she busts a move. But I actually like her dance moves. They’re one of those things that are just so unbearably cute that you can’t think of anything to do but laugh when you see them. She’d know that I think that if she didn’t keep trying to get the last word on everything [see: sass & arguments]. I don’t know if she employs these dance moves legitimately in a club setting. If she does, god help us.
Enough about those dance moves. Happy Birthday, Amanda!
