I really like your comic! You should definitely continue it ( the otherworld one )
thank you so much!! I’ll try my darndest to keep at it.
I was gonna be lazy and think about things more. But then I read some tweets from Ryan Pequin and Meredith Gran about how you should stop worrying about developing characters and just start a story already. They inspired me to do just that. Exciting! Will I keep it up? Can I do it? I don’t know. But it’s fun so whatever. I haven’t figured some things out but I will as I go.
something I’m working on. it won’t look like this much when I’m finished. I just felt like celebrating Hellboy Day. Mignola and Stewart are huge inspirations when it comes to how I approach colors and light.
during that mental transition, when you tell yourself “I’m an artist,” you realize that the people you look up to are all probably huge dorks. and it’s comforting.
sometimes when I’m drawing, I keep the pupils on another layer and play around with them. I usually just drag the layer but lately I’ve been learning animation.
I wanna make something life-affirming but I also wanna take a nap.

Little Ramona and Scott in the middle. Batman looking over. Good library.
I like how it can be read both ways too. like a welcome error I don’t mind being an intention. I feel like it would be fun. the designer in me is saying that’s a bad excuse for a design flaw, but the cool teen artist in me is like “whatever man it’s 2014” and is loitering somewhere with an overflowing slurpee. still much to think about!
something I’ve been thinking about while working on other things (things that are higher on the priority list!).
the designs aren’t final yet. same goes for the title design.
does it look like Motherworld? it should read like that. that’s what I’m calling it when I get around to telling these dudes’ stories.
#I just wanted to use the word embargo
I was asked if I could contribute to a Ghostbusters collab. I was assigned Ray ver. GB2. I don’t really know all the details about this project. Expect more news from the maestro, Patrick Fedo. Also, I dunno if this is supposed to be a secret or something but all the contributors put theirs up on twitter so I figured why not. If I’m breaking some embargo I’ll take it down.
