Anonymous asked: Have you ever seen Samurai Cop?

Answer:

This sounds like something Future Mike has seen. Maybe even Near Future Mike.

I think I made enough from commissions to maybe buy Seconds. So, thank you, everyone who helped me out! This One Summer was gorgeous and really good.
I’ll try to finish the portraits before I leave.

robotmountain asked: I realized that spotlight thing might not make any sense. I just woke up, so I apologize. You're way good - even a little spotlight like mine should be shined on you.

Answer:

I’m trying to give myself some breathing room for SDCC, which is… next week?! This is a little last minute, but I’m gonna try out taking on commissions. I’ll consider keeping it an ongoing thing, but for now I’ll just take in 8 slots. 8 sounds nice. It was a fun age.

$20 for B&W digital portrait
$25 for colored digital portrait
+$5 to add another person in there

Message or tweet @ me if you are interested
or email me at milkbarista(at)gmail(dot)com.

Give me any info you’d like; passions, tastes, moral alignment, D&D class. Otherwise I’ll figure that all out myself, which might be fun if you like surprises.

Posting this for the late night news club. Reblogging in the morning. If you know people who’d want one, please let ‘em know!

it’s been a while! my brain and body have been busy. I’ll keep trying! though they’ll probably be infrequent. right now my focus will be on getting enough $$ to survive comic con weekend. hi, stress!

for the morning crowd.

chuckpcomics asked: Just curious, how do you set up your perspective grids in mother world? Would you mind sharing?

Answer:

sure thing! I think there’s a faster way to do it, but I just make a regular grid by making a rectangle and multiplying it a bunch until it fills the panel. merge them all then copy it and turn it 90 degrees to make squares. then transform>distort and align it as close to my sketch. then I redraw stuff to match up lines accordingly.

that sketch layer was actually after I fixed it with the grid, so it’s not the best before/after example. I kinda just work things until it doesn’t look so off that it’s distracting. I’m not entirely sure how reliable it is. and since I’m using distort and pushing each individual corner, there’s still some guesswork and a good eye involved to make things accurate.
