spending my thanksgivukkah reading Barnaby
working on things.
here is a true ghost story that is now a true ghost.
I got bored after the first page so I gave up on it. one of the drawbacks of just winging it. nothing about this was exciting, for me or future readers. I still like telling this story and I might revisit it, but for now I don’t really care to force it into a comic.
working on a ghost story for halloween. gotta work on costumes and pumpkins. I’m super late. but hopefully I finish everything on time.
made a b&w version and printed it to see how it looks and to test out screentones. 350dpi and tones at 50 (55?) lpi. feels a lot more bland, especially the third panel. but color was a pretty important part of this, so I can’t be too critical. bottom-third looks hard lit. weird light source. there’s a grid on the shades for some reason. bad printer? I’ll figure it out. not pictured, but the text came out too small. gotta write bigger next time.
"you know how that goes."
A little comic adaptation of my favorite BTS song. When they perform it live, sometimes Doug replaces the last line with “except for in my dreams” and I can’t help but snap my heart in half.
screentone option. I’ll probably just stick to the yellow idea.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ we’ll see how it goes.
getting there. this is actually becoming a huge failure considering this was supposed to be a b&w exercise.
Here’s my 24 hour (and change) comic all in one post. I need to find a place to host these long ones. Tumblr’s not the best place for it.
It’s about what we did in Seattle, which I never really talked about as much as I did Portland, for reasons you will learn. This is my first time completing it (22 pgs, but whatever)! My back hurts. It was fun rushing through and not caring, but I regret not getting a good look down for my friends first. Priscilla’s hair is off by 100%.
